Doug Fraser is the skipper of Eagle Magic, Certified LLO (Local Launch Operator) under Maritime New Zealand Certification..

Doug has been fishing the waters of the eastern coast of the North Island of NZ for over 35 years. He has been a member of numerous fishing clubs, gaining knowledge from a vast array of fishing colleagues, fresh and salt water, and has established fishing competitions throughout the country. As long as he is fishing, he is happy.

Snapper, Kingfish, John Dory and Kahawai are prolific in and around the inner and greater Hauraki Gulf. Should your fishing experience require targeting Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Tuna or others of our larger species, Doug has extensive knowledge, from Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty through the Mercury Islands, Great Barrier and the Bay of Islands in Northland.

Doug has achieved major success in most of our coastal fishing tournaments. He has experience diving for crayfish (rock lobster) and scallops (in season) and he knows the spots to put you on.

Whatever you wish, Doug has the knowledge to make your Auckland based fishing charter or cruise a very enjoyable experience.
